Eco-Friendly & Upcycled

WHY GO GREEN

 

Our home the planet has a fixed amount of natural resources.  The growth rate of populations has drained our limited supplies leaving us with fewer resources.  If our intention is to leave future generations with the same quality of life that we have enjoyed, we need to be concerned about the preservation of our natural resources.

 

In addition to the population growth rate, another issue affecting our planet has to do with the things we throw away on a daily basis.  The landfills are growing, the groundwater is becoming polluted, and the soil is being contaminated.

 

If we re-think some of the things we so easily disposed of, perhaps, we can make a difference.  Another way we could help is to limit the use of chemicals and pesticides.  Bear Stitches tries to do their small part by using some fabrics that are either organic or upcycled.  Our bags that are made with these fabrics, will state that they are “eco-friendly or "upcycled.”
